Classes
Classes must be paid in full at time of registration. Supply lists will be issued upon payment of registration fee. Fees listed are for registration and do NOT include supplies unless noted in the class description. 15% discount on class supplies if student presents the supply list when purchasing supplies. No refunds for student cancellations, but class fee may be applied to another class with at least 48 hours cancellation notice. No refunds or credits for Jill Schumacher's machine quilting classes. Children and guests are not allowed in classes.

Learn to sew! In this Beginner Class we will teach you the basics, and you will make some simple projects, starting with a pillow case. Be prepared to get addicted to sewing and creating your own projects! SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED.

Have a new sewing machine but don't know what to do with it? Did Aunt Lil leave you her old machine and it's been sitting in your closet for the past 2 years? This class will provide one-on-one training to get you acquainted with your machine and start you sewing. You will learn the parts of your machine, how to thread it, fill a bobbin, and maintain the machine. You will learn basic stitching techniques. You must bring in your machine and manual at least 3 days prior to class so that we can work with it ahead of time and be able to better instruct you on how to use it. Learn the beautiful art of Trupunto by Machine to enhance the beauty of your quilts. Easy step-by-step method taught without having to cut the back of your quilt. Trapunto by Machine is a very simple process to learn. Trapunto is the method of double stuffing your quilting motif, which will add an extra dimension to your quilting. Must have basic machine quilting skills, but this is very easy to learn. You will make a trapunto design that is suitable for a wall hanging or designer pillow. In addition to supplies, please bring potluck dish for lunch. NOTE: This is a class to learn machine quilting. This is not a piecing class.

If you love decorative quilting stitches and have admired the beauty of Sashiko designs, you'll love this class. You will select a jacket, vest, or table runner as your project. Jill will make the marking easy and fun and then show you how to quilt each motif easily and quickly, using free motion quilting techniques. Must be able to free motion quilt and have good control of stitches. In addition to supplies, please bring potluck dish for lunch. NOTE: This is a class to learn machine quilting. This is not a piecing class.
